SHRED: Jillian Michaels BODYSHRED™ is a fun, effective, 30-minute, high intensity, metabolic conditioning workout that’s the accumulation of her 20 years of expertise in the fitness industry. BODYSHRED™ is ‘Intelligent Training.’ It’s kinetic, it’s energetic; it provides the ultimate challenge, regardless of level. Utilizing Jillian’s 3-2-1 interval approach to whole body circuit training (3 min. of strength, 2 min. of cardio, 1 min. of abs), BODYSHRED™ integrates all of the most progressive exercise science techniques used by world-class athletes into one program. Elite workout methods like HIIT, PHA, plyometrics, super-setting, combo lifting, 3-dimensional movement possibilities, functional bodyweight training and much more, come together in one powerful class that offers you the most successful way to get lean and shredded fast. BODYSHRED™ not only burns more calories while you’re training, but can literally ACCELERATE your metabolism long after the workout is finished so you continue burning fat and calories at a higher rate – for up to 72 hours post training. LIFT AND LEAN: This class is designed to teach you proper form, get you comfortable lifting free weights with functional movements and incorporate metabolic movements to help you increase your energy expenditure and help you lean out. Each class will be programmed to suit the needs of the participants. Max 5 PEOPLE

CYCLE AND STRENGTH: Formerly known as E3, THE most popular class in Whitehorse! It is a combination of Endurance Lifting, Endurance Biking and Endurance Cardio/Plyo Training! Please come prepared to train both indoors and out during the summer months!

BELLS AND BALLS: Kettlebells, Wallballs, Medicine Balls, Slam Balls, Stability Balls, Bosu Balls, and even more balls! Originating in Russia, a kettlebell is a centuries-old training tool that looks like a cannon ball with a handle. It is thought that the original kettlebells were actually counter-weights used in Russian markets. Country folk started testing their strength with them and eventually they became very popular in Russia as a training method, and still are to this day. A Russian strong man is referred to as a “Girevik” which translates to “Kettlebell Man”. Girya is Russian for Kettlebell. Kettlebell training is different than other forms of weight training because many parts of the body are exercised simultaneously, and in addition kettlebell training elevates the heart rate for effective cardiovascular training. Kettlebells can be used in ballistic (explosive) swinging movements utilizing the whole body along with momentum or used in more traditional press and squat exercises. The displacement of the weight from the hand requires that the stabilizing muscles engage more with each movement and therefore requiring more muscle firing at once. Kettlebell exercises are whole-body exercises requiring full body integration and core stabilization. There is no such thing as isolated muscle work in kettlebell training.

BOOTCAMP: Our Bootcamps are designed for MAXIMUM calorie burn in the shortest amount of time. We want to get you fit, get you healthy, challenge your mind, challenge your body, and most importantly MAKE FITNESS FUN! – Indoor Bootcamp. Weather will never be an issue with us. Rain, shine, snow, whatever……we are ready to workout! – The Exercises: Bootcamp is a combination of strength, cardio, muscle endurance, flexibility, core, and functional movement patterns. You get EVERYTHING you need! – Time Efficient Training. Our classes are 45-60 minutes in length. Get you in and get you out. We keep you moving and burning fat from the first minute to the very end! – The After Burn! We use a scientifically proven exercise formula known as E.P.O.C. to increase your metabolism up to 12-16 hours after your workout! That’s right, burn fat for HOURS after your workout! – NEVER Plateau! The body hates change! It would much rather do the same thing every minute of every day. Well we have news for you…when you do the same exercise routine day in and day out you stop seeing results or “plateau.” At Bootcamp we utilize the principle of muscle confusion. You will NEVER do the same workout twice! Why is this good? Because…your body will never adapt and you will never plateau! TAE BO: Tae Bo® Fitness’ ground breaking workouts integrate kicks, punches, and defensive techniques used in martial arts. It also creates selfawareness, self-confidence, enhancement of Martial Arts, and boxing techniques. Tae Bo® Fitness’ trademark workouts enhance your strength, speed, balance, and mental awareness, by combining aspects of Boxing, Martial Arts, and dance with adrenaline racing musical beats. GROUP CYCLE: Join our certified group cycling instructors for a 45min calorie burning ride! Kick ass music, motivating instructors, and real life ride programming, our instructors will help you burn calories and get in shape for your real life rides! Max 5 People. YHC

INSANITY: WHAT IS IT? INSANITY™ is a cardio class, based on max interval training. This class will push you past your limits with athletic/plyometric drills mixed with intervals of strength, power, resistance, and core training. No equipment or weights needed. You don’t have to be in extreme shape- levels of each exercise are provided. Time to dig deep! WHY SHOULD I TRY IT? High intensity interval training is proven to be a beneficial training method. Make the most of the time that you have to spend in a workout. SOUNDS JUMPY & FAST… WRONG! High Intensity doesn’t have to mean high impact. Every person’s high intensity is different from everyone else in class. With timed segments, you don’t have to follow the beat of the music, you get in as many repetitions as it right for you!
